I am terrible at Draw Something! I love the fun it can bring to consumers and brands though. Always a hit when engaging our biggest fans.

Re: Draw what?
Natasha, it was a pleasure to be able to send you that Harry drawing - it should be noted, that your concepting ability through Draw Something is out-of-this-world.

Re: Draw what? The ability to take a notion or idea (in this case, a phrase) - and refine it into something your audience can comprehend & engage with - is a vital part of marketing and can really make or break a branding campaign.

All I ask now is that you post your doodle of Sonic the Hedgehog in the comments.

Re: Draw what?
Courtesy of Ron D'Amico, I am adding 4 more infamous CP cocktails:

Refreshing drink in the summer!!!

The Chop
Absolut Pear , cranberry light, tiny splash of pineaple garnish w orange slice serve straight up or in rocks glass.
All the flavors in this are totally perfect together!!

The Fluffalicious
Grey Goose, fresh squeezed lemons and limes, splash of sprite and pelligrino served in a stem glass with lots of ice garnish withh lime slice

The Fluffatini
Start with chilled champagne glass, add two big splashes of champagne the better the champagne the better the drink! i like Cliquot but you can use White Star or Mumms . Add 3/4 shot of Anejo Patron, fresh raspberries and one dash of simple syrup if you like or not! For a little extra sparkle you can trim the rim of the glass with sugar.

Re: CP Best-of Recipe Round-up

It wouldn't be CP Thanksgiving without Justin's secret cranberry jelly recipe!

Re: The Top 5 Mustache and Beard-fueled Ads

Sounds like this upcoming documentary is right up your alley... or mustache. Specifically, car salesmen. I'd assume that car salesmen with mustaches are selling a lot more cars than their anti-facial hair counterparts. Mustaches sell.

Re: The Top 5 Mustache and Beard-fueled Ads

While I assume the patchy chinstrap is pointing to my direction, I do have a pretty solid mustache if I do say so myself...which I guess I just did.

Re: The Top 5 Mustache and Beard-fueled Ads

You forgot the soooo sweet 'stache on the JACK in this Foxwoods Spot.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

It's competitive out there and you need to stay on your toes and on the cutting edge of all industry trends in order to better service your clients and ultimately move the needle, whether it's in brand, media, creative, production, development, etc.

Also, i agree with the client, Johnnie Walker Blue should never have ice in it. :)

Re: What does it take to be a modern day brand manager?

I think a good brand manager is also a secret copywriter, art director, media planner, strategic planner, party planner, and cheerleader.

Re: What does it take to be a modern day brand manager?

This stood out to me: "Find comfort in pursing things that make you uncomfortable."

There are parts of every job that we are all uncomfortable with, be it those tedious annoyances, or something that we aren't familiar with - I think, a lot of an individuals success comes from getting over those annoyances and uncomfortable areas to. Being successful requires a robust set of skills.

Re: What does it take to be a modern day brand manager?

Dana - I think you make a great point about brand managers being less sales people and more multi faceted marketers who can bring new ideas to the table. I've heard other people mention that a big part of brand management is sales, but in retrospect I think they meant that to be successful BM's had to be able to take credit for successes, mitigate any project speed bumps, and be able to convince the client (sell in) to embark on new or additional projects.

AND knowing when to order your client a Johnnie Walker neat is definitely an irreplaceable skill for anybody in the business.

I'm not an Account Manager, but I work closely with several and also with clients on a daily basis. I think when clients know you truly care and you're bringing fresh, new ideas to them before you're asked, that's really what strengthens the relationship.

Re: What will you do with the extra hour this weekend?

test comment

Re: Confessions of a Confused Sports Fan

Я знаю, Paul, Я знаю.

Re: Confessions of a Confused Sports Fan

Richard, glad to have you as a Bs fan and a sox fan, but rooting for the soviets?
